On the eve of the departure of the Israeli negotiating delegation to Cairo, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the graduation ceremony for combat officers at the BAHAD-1 military training base. However, his speech was overshadowed by shouts of “shame” from the crowd.

In his speech, Netanyahu recalled the challenges Israel has faced since its founding. “When Israel was founded, everyone knew that hatred would not disappear overnight, and that we would have to fight together against the monster of terror. We are determined to complete this victory. Even if it takes time,” he said. The prime minister stressed the need to continue the fight against Hamas for the release of the hostages, despite the security threats posed by the terrorist organization.

Meanwhile, an Israeli delegation led by Mossad chief Dedi Barnea returned from Qatar after a day of talks. The results of the negotiations were presented to the Prime Minister, and this evening the delegation headed by the head of the Shabak, Ronan Bar, and representatives of the IDF will leave for Cairo to continue the negotiations. According to available reports, no progress has been made in reaching an agreement, and Hamas accuses Israel of delaying the deal.

After the Prime Minister’s speech, Defense Minister Yoav Galant took the floor. He said that IDF representatives provided the residents of Kibbutz Beeri with the results of the investigation into the battle on October 7. However, the residents of the kibbutz remained dissatisfied and demanded the creation of a state investigative commission. Gallant supported this demand, stating the need for an objective national inquiry that should examine the actions of all, including the government, the army and the security forces.

Thus, Israel continues its efforts to resolve the conflict with Hamas, facing internal and external challenges, and insists on the need for continued hostilities to achieve its goals.
