The Russian media Interfax reported on the detention of a “recruited” citizen of Ukraine, who allegedly passed information to Ukrainian intelligence about the location of the units of the Russian Armed Forces in Crimea and Sevastopol.
The Russian FSS office in occupied Crimea announced the detention of “a suspect in cooperation with the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.” According to Interfax, the man, born in 1982, was involved in confidential cooperation during his stay in the territory controlled by Ukraine.
It is reported that the “recruited” citizen of Ukraine passed on information about the places of permanent deployment of Russian troops in Crimea and Sevastopol. A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under the article on espionage, he faces up to 20 years in prison.
