Kyiv, July 15, 2024 – The Postal Service of Ukraine is pleasantly surprised again: an exclusive stamp was issued to mark the 30th anniversary of the death of the outstanding spiritual leader, the Lubavitch Rebbe Menachem-Mendl Schneerson. The creation of this unique stamp took place in close cooperation with representatives of the Chabad movement, which emphasizes the importance of this event.
The stamp depicts the legendary residence of the Rebbe in Brooklyn, which is the heart of the Chabad movement around the world. An unusual feature of the stamp was the windows of the building, which replaced the title pages of the works of the Lubavitch Rebbe of different generations. This symbolic decision emphasizes the Rebbe’s contribution to world spirituality and education.
“For many Ukrainians, the Lubavitch Rebbe is more than just a spiritual leader. It is a symbol of hope, knowledge and inspiration. Issuing this stamp is our way of honoring his memory and thanking him for the great work that Chabad ambassadors do all over the world, and especially in Ukraine,”
said Rabbi Yonatan Markovych, Chabad ambassador in Kyiv.
Thanks to this stamp, everyone will be able to feel a piece of history and a huge spiritual legacy left by the Lubavitch Rebbe. It will become a real gem for philatelists and a symbol of respect for an outstanding personality.
