As reported by 5.ua on July 7, Member of Parliament Maryana Bezuhla announced her departure from the “Servant of the People” faction. This was disclosed by Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a deputy from the “Voice” party, on his Telegram channel.
Details of the Departure According to Zheleznyak, after Bezuhla’s exit, the presidential faction is left with 233 members of parliament. It is important to note that Bezuhla is a majoritarian representative, meaning she will retain her parliamentary mandate even after leaving the faction. This was clarified by Iryna Herashchenko, co-chair of the “European Solidarity” party.
Bezuhla’s Comment Maryana Bezuhla commented on her decision on Facebook, stating that she no longer has the moral strength to associate herself with the faction even formally. “I have sent a statement about my departure from the ‘Servant of the People’ parliamentary faction. Definitively. The statement is expected to be read out this week,” she wrote.
She also posted a video of the moment when her statement was read out by the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada.
