As reported by 7kanal, on July 24, a solidarity demonstration was held in front of the Capitol in Washington, organized by dozens of family members of Israeli hostages. Among the participants was Aviva Siegel, who was recently released from Hamas captivity, but her husband, Kit, remains in the hands of the terrorists.

In an interview with Arutz Sheva, Aviva Siegel shared the horrors she endured while in captivity. She noted that her husband and other 120 hostages still in Gaza are deprived of basic necessities for survival. “I am here in Washington as Kit’s voice because Kit has no voice. The 120 hostages remaining in Gaza have no voice,” she said.

Siegel spoke about the violence and sexual assaults she experienced during her captivity. “I have lived through horrors. I witnessed violence and sexual assaults. In captivity, everyone is tortured, always. I still almost constantly think about Gaza. I cannot detach myself from that horror and take care of myself,” she noted.

Aviva Siegel also expressed her hope that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would fulfill his duties and ensure the release of the hostages. “I am here to urge Netanyahu to do his job and free the hostages. The only thing I want to hear from Netanyahu in his speech to Congress today is that a deal has been reached and Kit is coming home,” she emphasized.

Siegel’s words underscore the urgent need for resolving the hostage situation and providing necessary assistance. The demonstration in Washington marked an important step in the fight for the rights and lives of those still in captivity.
