Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov announced ambitious plans to create new rehabilitation centers for the military, developed in cooperation with NATO. In a briefing at the first annual International Medical Congress on Military Medicine and Mental Health on July 27, he emphasized the importance of an effective rehabilitation system for defense personnel.
The project, known as “Renovator”, involves the construction of five modern rehabilitation centers. In each of them, it is planned to introduce advanced technologies that will ensure high-quality treatment and rehabilitation of servicemen. In addition to physical rehabilitation, the centers will also offer mental rehabilitation programs for military personnel and their families.
“The creation of these centers is a key step in ensuring the health of our defenders and their return to service after injuries,”
the minister said. He added that this project is part of a broader strategy to improve the health care system for military personnel and veterans.
