2024 Olympics: Results and Schedule for Ukrainian Athletes on July 29

Today, July 29, Ukrainian athletes continue their pursuit of medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Here is a summary of their performances:

Fencing:

  • 10:15 AMYelena Kravatskaya defeated Susan Boudiaf of Algeria (15:8) in the 1/32 finals and advanced to the 1/16 finals, where she will face Japan’s Misaki Emura.
  • 11:25 AMOlga Kharlan competed against Japan’s Shihomi Fukushima in the 1/16 finals.
  • 11:50 AMAlina Komashchuk faced South Korea’s Jeon Ha Yong in the 1/16 finals.
  • 10:45 PM — Women’s sabre finals: Potentially, Yelena Kravatskaya, Olga Kharlan, and Alina Komashchuk will compete.

Judo:

  • 11:00 AMDaria Bilodid began her competition in the under 57 kg category with the 1/16 finals and may continue to the finals.

Tennis:

  • 1:00 PMDayana Yastremska defeated Colombia’s Camila Osorio in the second round of the singles tournament.
  • 1:00 PMLyudmila and Nadiia Kichenok lost their doubles match to the Chinese pair Zhang Shuai and Wang Xinyu.
  • 1:00 PMMarta Kostyuk won against France’s Clara Burel in the second round of the singles tournament.
  • 1:00 PMMarta Kostyuk and Dayana Yastremska lost their doubles match to the Polish duo Magda Linette and Alicja Rosolska.
  • 8:00 PMElina Svitolina triumphed over American Jessica Pegula in the second round of the singles tournament.

Swimming:

  • 12:13 PMNika Sharafutdinova did not advance to the semifinals in the 100m backstroke.
  • 12:28 PMMykhailo Romanchuk successfully qualified for the final in the 800m freestyle.
  • 9:57 PM — Nika Sharafutdinova might compete in the 100m backstroke semifinals.

Rowing:

  • 11:40 AMIhor Khmara and Stanislav Kovalev did not advance to the finals in the lightweight double sculls.

Boxing:

  • 5:50 PMDmytro Lovchynskyi lost in the 1/8 finals in the over 92 kg weight category.

Gymnastics:

  • 6:30 PM — The Ukrainian team, including Illia Kovtun, Oleg Verniaiev, Ihor Radivilov, Nazar Chepurnyi, and Radomir Stelmakh, earned medals in the team all-around competition.

Cycling:

  • 3:10 PMOleksandr Hudym competed in the mountain biking cross-country final and showcased a strong performance.
