Recently, a scandal broke out in Ukraine due to the imposition of fines on conscripts who updated their data through the “Reserve+” application and contacted the territorial recruitment centers (TCC) to clarify the information. People’s deputy Oleksandr Fedienko, who received complaints from the victims, shared the details of these cases on his Telegram channel.
One of those fined said that after updating his data in the “Rezerv+” application, he came to the TCC to clarify his account data. As a result, he received a fine of 17 thousand hryvnias. Another conscript lost his military ID and, despite updating his information through the app, was also fined 17,000 hryvnias for losing the document.
The third case became especially resonant, when a man who filed a police report about the theft of his documents, including a military ID, received a fine of 5,100 hryvnias. His story raises many questions, because, as he noted, he received help from a lawyer in the correct preparation of documents.
People’s deputy Oleksandr Fedienko stated that all fines were imposed in accordance with the current legislation, but he expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that in the first case there was no warning. He also suggested that TCC management may be operating under a different guideline than the one known to the general public. This issue needs further investigation and clarification to avoid similar situations in the future.
