According to newsru, on October 7, 2023, Eytan Levy, a taxi driver from Rishon Lezion, was killed by terrorists in Beeri. Levy’s family has released a video showing a crowd in Gaza mocking his body. They found this video online on November 3. The footage shows terrorists transporting Levy’s body in an open trunk and then beating it in a square near a mosque. In December, IDF representatives confirmed that the deceased in the video is Eytan Levy.
Earlier media reports indicated that on October 7, Levy was making a trip from Rishon Lezion to Beeri, with the goal of delivering a passenger by 7 AM. On the return journey, around 7:30 AM, he called home, reporting rocket launches and loud noises. He likely fell into a terrorist ambush shortly after. Sigalit, Eytan’s sister, recounted receiving another call at 7:40 AM, but her brother did not speak. The line only picked up sounds of a struggle, gunshots, and shouts of “Allahu Akbar.” For three hours, Sigalit held the phone, listening to the sounds. The connection was eventually lost, with the last things she heard being the sounds of an engine and terrorists’ laughter.
Eytan’s family decided to release the video to remind people of the hostages still held in Gaza and to draw attention to their plight.
