Russia began evacuation in the Belgorod region due to Ukrainian offensive actions

Втрати росіян в районі Курська.

Russia has begun evacuating the civilian population from the Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine, following the intensification of military operations by Kyiv. This decision was taken against the background of the Ukrainian invasion of the Kursk region, which caused serious concern in Moscow and led to the evacuation of tens of thousands of people, reported Reuters.

The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that residents of the Krasnoyarui region will be evacuated due to the activity of the Ukrainian army. In the Kursk region, the evacuation continued, in particular in the Bielovsky district.

Evacuation measures began after the sudden invasion of Ukrainian troops into the Kursk region on August 6, which caused the further advance of Kyiv’s forces in the region. According to the Russian authorities, more than 11,000 people have been evacuated, while residents of the border areas continue to leave their homes due to the threat of hostilities.

In response, Russia sent reinforcements and declared an “anti-terrorist operation” regime in the Kursk, Bryansk and Belgorod regions. Despite this, Ukrainian troops continue to hold positions on Russian territory, advancing 30 kilometers deep into the country.

This operation not only demonstrates the fragility of the Russian defense, but also raises the morale of the Ukrainian troops, which is important for the further course of the war. At the same time, Kyiv remains cautious in disclosing the details of its actions, waiting for the development of events on the battlefield.
