The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, provided an update on the operational situation in the region during the “Unified News” broadcast. Over the past day, Russian armed forces continued heavy shelling of border and frontline areas of Kharkiv region, leading to civilian casualties and significant infrastructure damage. However, Syniehubov noted that due to the effective actions of the Defense Forces, the intensity of artillery strikes and the use of guided bombs has significantly decreased. Despite this, the missile threat remains high across the region.

To enhance security and ensure the effective performance of Ukrainian defenders, stricter curfew measures are planned for border and frontline areas.

Syniehubov also reported successful preparation for the heating season, noting that the region’s heating infrastructure is more than halfway ready. “No disruptions to the heating season are expected unless there are mass attacks on energy infrastructure,” he emphasized.

Additionally, preparations for offline schooling in Krasnohrad and Lozova districts are underway. Active restoration work is being carried out in school shelters, which is a prerequisite for resuming in-person classes.
