Russia continues to endure significant losses on the battlefield, with the past 24 hours marking another devastating day. Between August 24 and 25, Russian forces lost 1,190 soldiers, an air defense system, and 31 operational-tactical drones. These new figures reflect the ongoing intensity of the conflict, as Ukraine defends its territory against the invading forces.
According to data released by Ukraine’s General Staff on their official Facebook page, the cumulative Russian personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have now reached approximately 607,680 soldiers. These staggering numbers highlight the relentless nature of the war, which has been raging for more than a year and a half.
The losses in equipment are no less severe. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders managed to destroy five Russian tanks, 11 armored combat vehicles, and 47 artillery systems. This brings Russia’s total equipment losses since the start of the war to:
• 8,547 tanks,
• 16,631 armored combat vehicles,
• 17,396 artillery systems,
• 1,171 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS),
• 936 air defense systems.
Russia’s air losses have also been significant. To date, the Russian military has lost 367 aircraft, 328 helicopters, and 14,095 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In addition, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 2,444 cruise missiles, illustrating the fierce battles occurring both on the ground and in the skies.
The Russian naval fleet has not been spared either, with 28 ships and boats sunk or incapacitated, along with one submarine. Additionally, Russian losses include 23,475 vehicles and fuel tanks as well as 2,928 units of specialized equipment.
These figures serve as a stark reminder of the scale and intensity of the war. Every day, Ukrainian forces, supported by international allies, continue to defend their sovereignty and strike back against the invading Russian military on all fronts.
The fight continues, and with each passing day, Ukraine moves closer to victory.
