A tragic incident occurred at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, resulting in the deaths of two Delta Airlines employees and leaving another seriously injured. The explosion took place during maintenance work on a Boeing 757 aircraft, according to reports from EFE and Reuters.

The incident happened on Tuesday morning when a tire unexpectedly exploded while being removed from the aircraft’s wheel in a maintenance hangar. The aircraft had arrived in Atlanta on Sunday from Las Vegas.

Delta Airlines confirmed the deaths of two employees, whose names have not been disclosed, and reported that a third person is in critical condition.

This accident adds to the ongoing safety challenges faced by Boeing. Earlier this year, another incident involved an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max-9, where an emergency door panel detached during flight.
