A Ukrainian sculpture created by artist Oleksiy Sae was presented at the Burning Man festival in the USA. The installation, consisting of damaged street signs, fences and gates, was called “I’m fine” and symbolizes Ukraine’s resilience during the war.

Symbolism and Materials

As reported by Hmarochos, the 32-meter-long sculpture was created from debris from the war in Ukraine. Oleksiy Sai noted that his goal is for the audience to feel the depth of the human stories associated with these objects.

Special Installation Elements

Special attention is drawn to the sign “Caution, children!”, taken from a destroyed school in the Kherson region, as well as parts of solar panels and transformers, symbolizing the destruction of green energy and ecocide.

Emotional Impact on Spectators

Vitaly Deinega, the founder of the “Return Alive” BF, reported that the installation evoked strong emotions in the audience. “People stand and watch. Some touch sharp edges. Many are crying… One American said that there is so much grief and death in our installation that it is hard to bear, and he cried. Another noted that there is a lot of strength in her, because if we were victims and not warriors, we would not have brought her here,” said Deinega.
