Russian attack on Dnipro: one dead, six injured, and significant damage to infrastructure

A late-night Russian missile strike on Dnipro on September 2 resulted in one fatality and six injuries. The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported the details on his Telegram channel.

“As a result of yesterday’s missile attack on Dnipro, a 51-year-old man lost his life. Six people were injured, including a 37-year-old man who remains hospitalized. The others are recovering at home,” Lysak stated.

The attack caused significant damage to civilian infrastructure. Three vehicles were completely destroyed, and 12 others were damaged. A kindergarten and seven private homes suffered extensive damage, with windows shattered. Additionally, a local business was damaged in the strike.

Lysak also noted that the Russian forces resumed shelling in the early hours of September 3, continuing their assault on the region.

The previous evening, September 2, Russian forces also targeted the Nikopol district, using artillery, Grad rocket systems, and kamikaze drones. According to Mykola Lukashuk, head of the regional council, infrastructure in the Marganets community, including an administrative building, was damaged in these attacks.
