Unforeseen incident on the flight

A dramatic incident occurred on a flight from London to Kos (Greece), when a drunken passenger tried to open the cockpit door and attacked the EasyJet crew. Flight EZY8235 had to make an emergency landing in Munich.

Reasons and development of events

According to the passengers, the problems started after the plane got into turbulence. This caused concern in the man, who began to behave aggressively, shouting at the pilot and trying to get into the cockpit. As a result of the struggle, the passenger damaged the intercom and got into a fight with the flight attendants. One of the passengers noted: “The crew was wonderful and very brave, but all this drama was unnecessary.”

Emergency landing and consequences

After the crew managed to subdue the man, the pilot decided to make an emergency landing in Munich. There, the violator was handcuffed and taken for questioning. Other passengers were accommodated in hotels, but many of them were unhappy with the flight disruption.

Cursorinfo reports that according to the UK Civil Aviation Authority, doing so can lead to a fine of up to £5,000 and up to two years in prison.

In the video, which appeared on TikTok and has more than half a million views, the brave passenger helps control the trespasser until the plane lands and the police arrive. The video shows passengers applauding while authorities and staff restrain the rowdy. One of the irritated passengers yells at the drunk man: “Get out of here, you loser.” After landing, the plane erupted into applause for the passenger who courageously helped the crew.
