Dnipro, September 7, 2024 — In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a policeman accidentally witnessed a robbery and arrested the robber. The incident took place on September 6 around 3:30 p.m. on an alley in the Central district of Dnipro. 1kr.ua reports.
A 37-year-old man ran up to a person in a wheelchair, grabbed her wallet and mobile phone and started to run away. A policeman from the Dnipro district administration, who was nearby, witnessed the event and immediately started pursuing the intruder. He stopped the robber and called the investigative team to the scene.
Investigators arrested the offender and recovered the stolen property. The next day, the man was charged with a criminal offence. Sanctions of the article provide up to 10 years of imprisonment.
