Anti-Semitic attacks in the US continue

In the USA, the wave of anti-Semitic attacks does not stop. In the city of Ann Arbor, Michigan, a group of young people attacked a 19-year-old student after he admitted his Jewish origin. According to information provided by israelinfo, the young man was beaten, knocked to the ground and spit on.

Attack near University of Michigan campus

The incident happened last night near the University of Michigan campus. A student was walking down the street when several people approached him and asked if he was Jewish. After his affirmative answer, the attackers attacked him and severely beat him.

The reaction of the police and the university

According to the local police, the student received minor injuries and did not require hospitalization. The law enforcement officers emphasized that they oppose anti-Semitism, which has no place in the university environment: “We are obliged to investigate this and other hate crimes and bring the perpetrators to justice.”

The Anti-Defamation League is offering a reward

Anti-Defamation League Chairman Jonathan Greenblatt said he was shocked by the anti-Semitic attack and offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the perpetrators.
