According to the police, on the night between Thursday and Friday, during preemptive operational activities in Hadera, an attempt at a criminal assassination was prevented, and three suspects were arrested “in the act,” israelinfo reported.
Police suspect that the three Netanya residents, all aged 30, were part of an armed team of hitmen, who were caught just before committing the crime. The suspects were traveling in a stolen car. After the police stopped the vehicle, a search revealed numerous incriminating pieces of evidence linking the trio to the planned assassination, including loaded weapons, additional magazines, gloves, and balaclavas.
The suspects were taken for questioning, and after an initial investigation, they were taken into custody. Today, the police are expected to request an extension of their detention from the Haifa Magistrate’s Court.
