On Wednesday, the Kremlin described Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s appeal to the UN Security Council to force Russia into peace as a “fatal mistake,” according to EFE.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, during his daily press conference, stated that this deep error would inevitably have consequences for the Kyiv regime. He emphasized the “positive dynamics” of the Russian army’s advances in Ukraine’s Donbas and highlighted that any attempt to compel Russia to accept an agreement is “impossible.”

“Russia is a proponent of peace, but only on the condition that its objectives in the special military operation are achieved. Peace is impossible without fulfilling those goals,” Peskov said.

Zelensky, who also accused Moscow of planning attacks on three nuclear power plants, stressed that the only way to end the fighting in Ukraine is by forcing Russia into peace. He further condemned Russia’s alliance with Iran and North Korea, calling them “accomplices” in the “criminal war in Europe.”
