A high-profile sex scandal broke out in Jerusalem, which once again raises the issue of safety and ethics in the massage industry. 62-year-old Boaz Giladi was detained by the police on suspicion of sexually harassing a client who suffered psychological trauma during the “Nova” festival on October 7.

After the incident, Giladi sent an apology to the client, which, according to the victim, only confirmed his suspicions about the massage therapist’s inappropriate behavior. The client filed a report with the police, which was the beginning of an investigation.

During the investigation, it was found that Giladi does not have a license to perform massages. It is known that he took several lessons in tantric massage, but began to provide services without official permission. At the hearing on September 25, the accused’s lawyer claimed that there was a “misunderstanding” between the parties and that the client, being in a post-traumatic state, misinterpreted the massage therapist’s actions.
The court extended Giladi’s arrest until 19:00, indicating the seriousness of the charges. Law enforcement authorities also noted that the suspect was likely secretly recording sessions without the knowledge of his clients.
This situation highlights the importance of legislating the massage industry and ensuring customer safety. Society demands ethical standards, especially in sensitive areas such as health and well-being.
