On Thursday, September 26, an air raid alert was declared across Ukraine following the takeoff of a Russian MiG-31K aircraft, which is known to carry “Kinzhal” hypersonic missiles. According to Ukraine’s Air Force, Russian aggressors launched a missile attack on Ukraine using these weapons.
Shortly after the MiG-31K took off, reports of missile launches emerged. Ukrainian military officials confirmed that a “Kinzhal” missile was headed towards the Khmelnytskyi region, and a second launch was soon detected.
The “Kinzhal” missiles, which Russia describes as hypersonic, pose a serious threat to air defense systems, making such attacks extremely dangerous for Ukraine.
