Explosions Near Israeli Embassy in Copenhagen: Danish Police Launch Investigation

Вибухи біля посольства Ізраїлю в Копенгагені

Danish police are investigating two explosions that occurred near the Israeli embassy in Copenhagen late Tuesday night, according to Reuters. No casualties were reported, but the Karoline Jewish School was closed as a precaution following the blasts, reports the Danish newspaper Ekstrabladet.

“Nobody was hurt, and we are conducting initial investigations at the scene,” Copenhagen police stated on X (formerly Twitter). Authorities are currently probing a possible link between the explosions and the nearby Israeli embassy. More details are expected during a press conference.

The police have yet to confirm the extent of any material damage or the scale of the explosions. Local outlet Politiken noted that it remains unclear whether the incidents are connected to the ongoing situation in the Middle East.

This is not an isolated incident. On the same day, the Israeli embassy in Stockholm was shot at, as reported by the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. The Israeli ambassador had to be evacuated by security forces during a public event.

These events come amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. On Tuesday, Iran launched nearly 200 rockets at Israel, raising fears of a broader regional conflict. Iran warned of further strikes if Israel retaliates, while Israeli officials have indicated that all options, including strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, remain on the table.
