IDF press service:

The 188th Barak Armoured Brigade has intensified its operations in southern Lebanon, focusing on the detection and neutralisation of weapons arsenals remaining in residential areas. The brigade’s operations are aimed at ensuring security and neutralising threats from Hezbollah, which has strengthened its positions in the region.

According to the military, a significant amount of weapons and ammunition used by terrorist groups was discovered during patrols. In villages controlled by Hezbollah, observation posts were spotted from which the group is preparing for ambushes using anti-tank missiles.

Military experts point out that the availability of such equipment could significantly complicate the operations of the Israeli Armed Forces. In response to these threats, the 188th Brigade is actively conducting reconnaissance operations, trying to gather as much information as possible about the enemy’s movements.

The Barakah operations are part of a broader IDF strategy to maintain stability in the region and prevent an escalation of the conflict. The military continues to act with caution to avoid civilian casualties.

This situation indicates an increase in tension in southern Lebanon, and further actions by both sides remain under close scrutiny by international observers.
