On Monday morning, Fadi 1 rockets fired by the Hezbollah militant group hit the Israeli cities of Haifa and Tiberias, injuring ten people. According to Israeli police, two rockets hit Haifa, Israel’s third largest city on the Mediterranean coast, while five more rockets hit Tiberias, a city 65 kilometres away, Reuters reported.

Local police confirmed that the shelling damaged buildings and other infrastructure. Some of the wounded were taken to hospitals for medical treatment. CCTV footage captured the moment of the strike on Haifa.

According to the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), in response to these attacks, Israeli fighter jets carried out air strikes on the headquarters of the Hezbollah intelligence service in Beirut, destroying command centres, weapons depots and other facilities. After the attacks, secondary explosions were recorded in the areas where these facilities were located, indicating the presence of weapons there.

The Israeli Air Force also struck Hezbollah facilities in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley, destroying infrastructure, weapons depots and command centres. The IDF accused Hezbollah of deliberately placing military objectives under civilian buildings, thereby endangering civilians in Beirut.
