President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke in the Verkhovna Rada, where he presented a strategic plan for Ukraine’s victory in the war with Russia. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine.

What does Ukraine’s victory plan include?

Zelenskyy stressed that the plan consists of five main points and three secret annexes. The Head of State stressed the urgency of implementing this plan, noting that its implementation today could help end the war no later than next year.

The first point is inviting Ukraine to join NATO

The President stressed that Ukraine should have been invited to join NATO long ago, as it could become a key factor of stability in Europe. “Ukraine’s invitation to NATO should become a symbol of determination. This is not just a matter of today, but also a guarantee of our security for the future,” Zelenskyy said, stressing that Russia uses the uncertainty surrounding this issue to take aggressive actions of its own.

The second point is to strengthen defence

The President pointed out the need to inevitably strengthen Ukraine’s defence. “We must not only defend our positions, but also bring the war back to the aggressor’s territory,” he stressed. The key tasks are:

  • Successful operations in enemy territories.
  • Improving defensive positions.
  • Enlist the help of partners to staff reserve teams.

Zelenskyy also stressed the importance of obtaining high-tech means to combat Russian missiles and drones.

The third point is deterring aggression

The plan envisages the use of the concept of strategic deterrence. “Russia acts aggressively only when it is confident in its impunity. Strategic deterrence can significantly reduce the level of aggression on the part of the Kremlin,” he said.

The fourth point is strategic economic potential

Zelenskyy stressed the critical importance of Ukraine’s natural resources. “Our deposits are not only valuable resources, but also a strategic advantage in the global economic struggle,” he said, calling on partners to jointly protect and invest in these resources.

The fifth point is the post-war perspective

The President noted that after the war, Ukraine will have to develop one of the most powerful military contingents. “Our soldiers will have a unique experience that can be useful for strengthening security in Europe,” Zelenskyy added, expressing readiness to replace some of the US military contingents in Europe with Ukrainian units.

Who is already familiar with the plan

The plan was first presented in August this year, but for a long time remained secret. The leaders of the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Germany were among the first to read it. However, there has been no official reaction to the plan, particularly from the United States.

According to the President, the Green Victory Plan is an important step towards strengthening Ukraine’s position in the international arena and opening up new opportunities to end the conflict on favourable terms. The implementation of this plan will require efforts from both the Ukrainian state and international partners who are ready to support our struggle for freedom and independence.
