The Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to effectively repel the attacks of the Russian occupation forces, inflicting significant losses on the battlefield. Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military destroyed 13 tanks, 23 artillery systems and 51 armoured combat vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published on Facebook.

The impressive figures of Russian army losses speak for themselves. Over the past 24 hours, 1,530 occupants were eliminated, which underscores the steadfastness of the Ukrainian military in the fight for the country’s independence and territorial integrity.

The total combat losses of Russian troops from the beginning of the full-scale invasion on 24 February 2022 to 18 October 2024 are estimated to have been as follows:

• Особового складу – близько 675 800 (+1 530) осіб
• Танків – 9 027 (+13) одиниць
• Бойових броньованих машин – 18 053 (+51) одиниць
• Артилерійських систем – 19 533 (+23) одиниць
• Безпілотних літальних апаратів оперативно-тактичного рівня – 17 152 (+48) одиниць
• Автомобільної техніки та автоцистерн – 26 908 (+93) одиниць

These losses are the result not only of active defence, but also of strategic offensive actions by Ukrainian forces on various fronts. The destruction of 13 tanks and dozens of armoured vehicles in one day is an important indicator of how effectively the Ukrainian military is working to combat Russian equipment.

In addition, a significant number of destroyed drones and transport vehicles demonstrate the well-organised work of Ukrainian forces in the fight against enemy supply and intelligence.

This information once again underscores the resilience and determination of the Ukrainian military in countering Russian aggression, and highlights the importance of international support in strengthening Ukraine’s defence capabilities.
