General Oleksandr Syrskyi said that the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to effectively control the situation at the front, in particular in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. He said this in a post on Facebook on Sunday, 20 October.

Syrsky stressed that despite the occupiers’ numerical superiority, Ukrainian soldiers are professionally performing combat missions, not allowing the Russians to seize the initiative.

“The situation remains under our control, and the enemy is suffering maximum losses,” he said.

The General also held meetings at the command posts of the brigades, where he heard the commanders’ proposals for further actions and made decisions to prevent the aggressor’s actions.
