During his official visit to Turkey, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Sibiga reported this in his post on the X platform (formerly Twitter).
The Minister expressed his gratitude to Erdogan for his unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, stressing the importance of deepening bilateral cooperation, especially in the defence sector.
“We discussed further development of the partnership between our countries, in particular in the defence sector, as well as the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation in the Black Sea,” Sibiga said. He also stressed the need to find ways to achieve a comprehensive, just and lasting peace.
Ukrainian-Turkish relations have recently intensified significantly, especially in the context of defence cooperation and joint security projects in the Black Sea region.
