Over the past day, 148 combat engagements were recorded at the frontline, which once again underlines the intensity and ferocity of the fighting. The situation was particularly tense in the Pokrovske and Kurakhove sectors, where Ukrainian troops repelled Russian forces, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 38 assault and offensive attacks by the aggressor. The areas around Selydove, Novotoretsk and Lysivka turned into real battlegrounds for fierce fighting. The enemy tried to break through and seize control of key positions, but Ukrainian soldiers demonstrated steadfastness and heroism, stopping all the occupiers’ attempts. The most intense fighting took place near Selydove, where Russian troops actively used attack aircraft.
The Kurakhove sector also became the epicentre of heavy fighting, with Ukrainian troops repelling 34 attacks. Russian forces were most active near Katerynivka and Kreminna Balka, where particularly fierce fighting took place. The enemy used aviation to support its offensive, but the Ukrainian Defence Forces maintained control over their positions.
The situation was no less complicated in other areas. In the Kharkiv region, Russian troops stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Vovchansk and Tykhy nine times, trying to break through to the deep rear. Nine more attacks were recorded in the Kupiansk sector, where Ukrainian troops continue to defend the lines near Pishchane, Lozova and Vyshneve.
In the Liman sector, the enemy made 12 attempts to penetrate Ukrainian defences near Hrekivka, Terny and Serebryanka. Meanwhile, in the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops attacked positions in the areas of Stupochky, Bila Hora and Hryhorivka five times.
Particularly noteworthy is the successful activity of Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery, which struck two enemy command posts, three areas of concentration of manpower and equipment, as well as five artillery systems.
This day once again demonstrated the resilience of Ukraine’s defenders, who continue to hold back massive attacks despite Russia’s constant escalation. The frontline remains not only a line of physical defence, but also a symbol of unwavering faith in Ukraine’s victory.
