On the night of Sunday, 27 October, a fire broke out at the facilities of the Druzhba oil pipeline in the Tambov region of Russia. According to ASTRA, citing local residents, the fire broke out at the Transneft-Druzhba control station in the village of Novomykolskoye.
According to official information, the governor of the Tambov region initially reported an attack by 11 drones that resulted in a “single fire caused by a pop”, which was quickly extinguished. However, local sources say that the fire occurred at the oil pipeline’s control station. The Michurinsk oil refinery is located in the same village.
The consequences of the incident and the exact extent of the damage remain unknown.
