The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled an attempted assault by the Russian military near Kursk, defeating units of the Russian 155th Marine Brigade and the Akhmat special forces. This is reported by TimeUkraineIsrael with reference to the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine . The Russian troops, who planned to attack Ukrainian positions, began an operation to video record their offensive, but were soon forced to stop the attack due to overwhelming resistance from the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military detected the occupiers’ movement in time and stopped their attack, causing significant losses among the personnel of the Russian units. In the course of the operation, two Russian soldiers decided to surrender, realising that continuing the battle threatened their lives. Ukrainian soldiers immediately provided medical assistance to the prisoners.
This case is yet another example of the effective and professional work of Ukrainian defenders who daily resist the aggression of Russian occupation forces in various directions.
