A new round of terrorist activity
On 25 October, a newly formed terrorist group, supported by Iran and claiming to operate within Saudi Arabia, announced the launch of its first jihadist operation. This announcement has attracted considerable attention from analysts at the US Institute for the Study of War (ISW), which operates within the Pentagon. The importance of this event is underlined by reports from the news portal TimeUkraineIsrael, citing Israel’s Channel 9 .
Islamic resistance: new threats to the region
A group calling itself “Islamic Resistance in the Land of the Two Holy Mosques” claims to have carried out a drone attack on an unspecified “vital site” in Israel, saying it was “a sign of the victory of the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon”. The organisation’s name is an obvious reference to the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of Iranian-backed Iraqi militias that regularly conduct drone and missile strikes against Israeli targets.
Terrorists’ words: a promise to continue the struggle
In their statement, the terrorists emphasised: “We reaffirm that our jihadist contribution, along with the Truth Front, is a documentary proof of the identity of our noble resistance. Our struggle is for truth and justice, and we stand shoulder to shoulder with a resilient nation.” They also vowed to continue their jihadist activities in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese people, saying they would not stop until the “Zionist aggression” in Gaza and Lebanon ends.
