The Ministry of Defence of Canada has confirmed the delivery of the first batch of LAV armoured personnel carriers to Ukraine, Time Ukraine Israel reports, citing the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) mission on social media site X. The exact number of transferred vehicles was not disclosed.

Prior to being sent to Ukraine, Canadian military instructors conducted training in the operation and maintenance of these armoured vehicles in Germany. These are versions of the LAV armoured combat support vehicles modified to provide medical assistance on the battlefield.

“These vehicles will help Ukraine in its defence against the illegal invasion of its lands,” the statement said.
