As of 30 October 2024, the situation on the contact line remains extremely tense. Ukrainian defenders are actively countering the Russian aggressor, inflicting significant losses on enemy forces. This was reported by the TimeUkraineIsrael news portal, citing the press service of the General Staff of Ukraine.
Clashes and shelling
Since the beginning of the day, 51 combat engagements were registered. Border settlements continue to suffer from shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation. The areas came under fire from cannon artillery and multiple rocket launchers:
- Sumy region: Basivka, Boyar-Lezhachi, Pavlivka, Volfino, Novenke, Taratutino, Oleksandrivka, Vovkivka, Dmytrivka, Pokrovka, Obody, Bachivsk, Volodymyrivka.
- Chernihiv region: Mikhalchyna Sloboda, Medvedivka, Krasny Khutor.
The aggressor also carried out air strikes on the settlements of Myropillya and Hotin, using four guided aerial bombs.
A blow to the Kursk region
Russian forces continue to bomb the Kursk region. According to the latest information, six strikes were carried out in the area with seven guided aerial bombs.
Areas of combat operations
Kharkiv direction
In the Kharkiv sector, Russian occupants tried unsuccessfully to attack the defensive positions of Ukrainian units near Vovchansk.
Kupianske direction
In the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 15 hostile attacks near Novoosynove, Kolisnykivka, Pershotravneve, Pishchane, Kruhlyakivka, Zelenyi Hai, Vyshneve, Bohuslavka and Zahryzove. Nine more firefights are ongoing.
Liman direction
In the Liman sector, five attacks were registered near Katerynivka, Hrekivka, Terny and Zarichne.
Northern direction
Hostile forces carried out two attacks in the Siverskyi sector in the areas of Verkhnekamianske and Bilohorivka, one firefight is ongoing.
Kramatorsk and Toretsk directions
So far, the aggressor has not conducted any offensive actions in the Kramatorsk and Toretsk sectors.
Pokrovsky direction
In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy has made 11 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Myrnohrad, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Novohrodivka and Selydove since the beginning of the day. Our forces repelled nine enemy attacks, two firefights are ongoing.
Kurakhivske direction
In the Kurakhove sector, the enemy conducted 21 attacks near Novoselydivka, Novodmytrivka, Illinka, Maksymilianivka, Horoshne, Yelizavetivka, Dalne, Antonivka and Katerynivka. Air strikes were also recorded in the area of Romanivka and Kurakhove, where five UAVs were used.
Vremivske direction
Ukrainian Armed Forces units successfully repelled two Russian assaults near Bohoyavlenka.
Gulyaypil direction
In the Huliaipil sector, the enemy unsuccessfully attacked the village of Charivne.
Orikhivske direction
In the Orikhivsk sector, the enemy conducted air strikes on Mala Tokmachka and Preobrazhenka using 14 aerial bombs.
Prydniprovskyi direction
In the Dnipro sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled three enemy attacks.
It is important to emphasise that Ukraine’s defenders are showing heroism and resilience in their fight for our country. The situation on the frontline is tense, but the efforts of the military and the support of the population will help us achieve victory.
