On the night of 29 October, Russian occupation forces shelled Kryvyi Rih with rockets, causing significant destruction and civilian casualties. According to the head of the Dnipro regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, one person was killed and 14 others were injured in the attack. Ten of the injured are in hospital, one of them in a serious condition. The deceased was a 39-year-old man.
The explosion damaged 11 apartment buildings, a clinic, a school, an administrative building, and a gas pipeline, which threatens further utility disruptions. In addition, 12 garages were destroyed and another 10 were seriously damaged. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire that broke out as a result of the impact.
At the same time, Russian troops attacked Nikopol district, shelling the region with Grad multiple rocket launchers, artillery and kamikaze drones. Impacts were recorded in Nikopol, Pokrovska, Myrivska and Chervonohryhorivska communities. Infrastructure facilities, a petrol station, a private house and a gas pipeline were damaged.
The attack was another episode in a series of attacks aimed at destroying infrastructure and residential buildings in the region, making life difficult for civilians and threatening their basic needs and security.
