Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced in his telegram channel that he will continue to actively support veterans and families of fallen heroes. According to him, today the Kyiv City Council will consider providing financial assistance to five families who lost their loved ones in the war. Each family will receive funds for land plots as a sign of respect and support from the capital’s community.
In addition, Vitali Klitschko praised the efforts of Kyiv residents in supporting the military. He reminded that the capital has already allocated UAH 8.6 billion for the needs of the army in 2024, which is UAH 1.1 billion more than last year. In particular, the community has provided the army with more than 12,000 UAVs of various types, including Mavic and Mavic 3T models, as well as fpv drones. In September and October alone, more than 2,000 drones were sent to the frontline.
Kyiv has also provided the military with more than 100 new vehicles and various equipment, including electronic warfare systems and communications equipment. Additionally, more than 2,500 UAVs, Cobra armoured vehicles and other equipment were provided as charitable donations, not at the expense of the budget.
These initiatives highlight the importance of cohesion and mutual support in times of war, demonstrating that community support can have a significant impact on supporting our defenders and their families.
