French brand Renault has become the new leader in new passenger car sales in Ukraine, leaving behind Toyota, which had long held the top spot. According to Ukravtoprom, more than 5,800 new cars were sold in Ukraine in October, up just 1% year-on-year.
Renault sold 775 vehicles, of which 749 were the popular Renault Duster crossover, which was once again the best-seller of the month. Toyota was in second place with 679 cars sold, and Skoda took third place with 402 units.
BMW with 397 cars sold and Volkswagen with 363 units completed the top five. In total, 58.8 thousand new cars have been registered in Ukraine since the beginning of the year, up 19% compared to the same period in 2023, indicating a recovery in demand for new cars.
