On the night of 2 November, Russian territories and the annexed Crimea came under a massive attack by Ukrainian drones. According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, a total of 24 drones were spotted attempting to carry out raids in various regions.

Specific details indicate that Ukrainian drones were concentrated over several regions: eight drones attacked Kursk, another eight attacked Bryansk region, two attempted to carry out missions over Belgorod region, and three over Orel region. In addition, one drone was spotted over the Rostov and Nizhny Novgorod regions, as well as over Crimea.

The Russian military claims that all of the attacking drones were successfully shot down by air defence systems, but no evidence has been provided. This information leaves room for speculation and questions about the effectiveness of Russian defence and the possible consequences for civilians in these regions.
