Kyiv and the surrounding areas have once again been attacked by hostile drones, causing significant damage to the power grids. DTEK, Ukraine’s leading energy operator, reports on the active work of its crews, which are rapidly repairing the damaged power lines.
Today’s attack resulted in three major damages. The most damaged was a high-voltage transit line in Kyiv region, which cut off power to a large part of the capital, including the Goloseevsky district. Despite the difficulties, DTEK power engineers quickly restored power to customers within an hour, although the line still needs to be repaired.
There was also an accident on the distribution networks in Buchansky district, but by 11:47 am electricity was fully restored to all homes in the district. The third major damage occurred in Vyshgorod district, where repair crews are still working to restore full power supply.
DTEK is grateful to the air defence units for their tireless work and efforts to protect the infrastructure. All these measures demonstrate Ukraine’s determination and ability to respond quickly to challenges, providing electricity to its citizens even in the most difficult conditions. In the fight for light and security, every day is a new challenge and a testament to the resilience of the Ukrainian people.
