Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga has called on international partners to help counter Russia’s massive drone attacks. He made the call on social media platform X.
“Russia is stepping up its terror. 71 Shahed-type attack drones have been launched against Kyiv and other cities. In September, 1331 attacks were recorded, which is about 44 drones per day. In October, there were already 1908 attacks, about 62 per day,” the minister stressed.
Sibiga called for Ukraine to be given the opportunity to strike UAV bases and depots in Russia and to lift restrictions on foreign partners’ ability to intercept enemy drones in Ukrainian airspace. He also asked that all restrictions be lifted to protect the lives of Ukrainians from the ongoing terror.
The high intensity of attacks in recent months has forced Ukraine to seek increased support from partners to ensure effective defence and strengthen its air defence.
