Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has already made her choice for the upcoming presidential election on 5 November 2024. Harris told reporters about this during a meeting in Detroit, where she is actively campaigning. She confirmed that she had filled out her ballot and mailed it in, taking advantage of the early voting option. This was reported by Sky News.
“I filled out my ballot and sent it in,” Harris said. In a video posted later on her social media pages, she shows off her ballot and encourages Americans to take advantage of early voting as well. Harris added: “This race is going to be tight, but we’re going to win,” emphasising her confidence in her team and the support of voters.
In addition, Kamala Harris urged citizens to come to the polls to ensure a high turnout and influence the outcome. “Every vote counts and can be decisive,” she stressed, drawing attention to the importance of every voter’s participation. The candidate also reminded that Americans can use online resources for easy access to election and voting information.
Europe is watching the US election and preparing for possible changes
In Europe, the outcome of the US election is expected to have a significant impact on future transatlantic relations. Political experts and officials are closely watching the race between the main competitors – Donald Trump of the Republican Party and Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party. The EU is particularly concerned about a possible return of Trump to the White House, which could lead to radical changes in US policy on international cooperation and trade.
For many European countries, the US election remains not only a domestic issue, but also an important factor that could affect the global economy and security.
