Naftogaz Group ranked fourth in terms of procurement volumes in the Prozorro system in 2023-2024, with an impressive 90% of the contracts concluded with Ukrainian contractors. First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko announced this at the conference “Supplier Day of State-Owned Oil and Gas Enterprises: Plans for 2025”, Ukrinform reports.
“Over the past two years, Naftogaz has been ranked fourth in terms of trading on the Prozorro platform. In 2023 and 2024, the group signed contracts totalling UAH 51 billion,” Svyrydenko said.
She also emphasised that Naftogaz has become a vivid example of an effective procurement system that allows Ukrainian producers to be aware of procurement plans and have access to them. “I hope that the share of imports in Naftogaz’s procurement will continue to decline,” the minister added.
In addition, Svyrydenko noted that buyers of Ukrainian energy equipment and specialised machinery with a local content of 40% or more will be able to receive compensation of 15% of the cost from the state. Applications for this compensation are accepted until 5 December 2024, which is an additional incentive to support domestic producers.
These efforts demonstrate Ukraine’s commitment to developing its own production, which is particularly important in the face of current challenges.
