Kyiv, Ukraine – Kyivpastrans has successfully completed a tender for the purchase of five new tramcars, which should significantly improve the comfort and accessibility of public transport. According to TimeUkraineIsrael, citing the public procurement platform Prozorro, the tender was won by Tatra-Yug LLC, which offered a final price of UAH 490.6 million including VAT, slightly lower than the expected cost of UAH 493 million.
Tender Details and Supply Requirements
The procurement was made through an open tender procedure with special conditions, which included a strict selection of offers by 28 October. According to the terms of the contract, the delivery of the new tramcars is to be completed by the end of 2025.
Features of the New Trams
The trams purchased from Tatra-Yug LLC are more than 26 metres long and have a completely low floor level, which will greatly facilitate access for people with reduced mobility and increase the comfort of transportation for all passengers. The new equipment is designed to improve not only the convenience but also the efficiency of public transport in the capital.
