Introduction to revenge

Conor McGregor, the UFC star, has expressed his opinion on Tyson Fury’s chances in the upcoming rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, which will take place on 21 December. McGregor hopes that Fury will appear in the ring in a new and improved version after his defeat in the first fight. This was reported by TimeUkraineIsrael with reference to Talksport.

Fury’s first defeat

Fury suffered a split decision defeat in his world title fight with Usyk in May, his first loss in his professional career. Although the Briton was initially considered the favourite, his role may now change as Usyk has shown he is ready for a tough fight.

The importance of winning

“We always have to win our scheduled fights,” McGregor said when asked about the importance of the victory for Fury. He stressed that although Usyk is an extremely strong opponent, the fight was close and Fury had his moments. “It’s a hell of a fight. British heavyweight boxing is in a great place,” he added.

Changes in Fury’s strategy

McGregor believes that Tyson Fury will be able to make significant changes to his strategy based on his previous experience, in particular, the trilogy with Deontay Wilder. “I expect a more active and tactical Fury, and the size difference will play an important role,” McGregor said.

Advantage in height

Although Fury has a significant height advantage – 6ft 9in to Usyk’s 6ft 3in – the latter proved his readiness for the fight, even knocking Fury out in the ninth round of the first fight. Many in Fury’s camp are hoping that his preparation will be more effective this time around, as he was injured during a sparring session before the first fight.

Fury’s confidence

Fury is confident in his abilities and has no intention of blaming anyone for his defeat. “I know what I have to do. For me, nothing will change dramatically. I’m going in there to knock him out because I don’t think I can win the judges’ decision,” he stressed.

Expectations for revenge

We are looking forward to this exciting rematch, as it promises to be no less intense and spectacular than the first fight.
