This morning, Kyiv came under another massive attack by Russian Shahed drones. Debris fell in five districts of the capital, causing large-scale fires and numerous destructions, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported on Telegram on Thursday, 7 November. There are victims who have been taken to hospitals, and rescuers are cleaning up the aftermath of the strikes.
In the Holosiivskyi district , drone debris damaged an apartment in a multi-storey building, causing one person to seek medical attention. A fire broke out in the garages and a nearby service station, covering an area of 200 square metres. Thanks to the efforts of the rescuers, the fire was quickly extinguished.
In Pechersk district, debris caused a fire in a restaurant on the 33rd floor of a residential building. The fire spread over an area of 50 square metres and partially damaged the structures of the 34th technical floor. Rescuers are actively working to eliminate the consequences.
In Solomyansky district, debris caused a fire in a 600-square-metre warehouse building. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, one victim was hospitalised. In addition, the debris damaged the building of a medical centre. Information on other possible victims is currently being clarified.
In Obolon, the fire engulfed the roof of a six-storey business centre over an area of 10 square metres. Fire crews are working at the scene to extinguish the fire and assess the damage.
Debris fell in Podilskyi district, causing a fire in a residential building. Rescue services are responding quickly to the situation to prevent the fire from spreading further and minimise damage to residents.
Kyiv is once again under serious threat from Russian drone attacks that are causing destruction and endangering civilian lives. City authorities are urging citizens to stay in shelters and follow safety instructions.
