Over the past 24 hours, 147 combat engagements between Ukrainian defence forces and Russian troops were recorded on the frontline. The intensity of the fighting is increasing, and the occupiers are trying to break through the Ukrainian defences in key areas, in particular by launching a massive attack in the Kurakhove sector.
According to the spokesperson for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Andriy Kovalev, Russians carried out 74 air strikes on Ukrainian territory over the past 24 hours, dropping 128 guided bombs. In total, the enemy fired more than 4,300 times, including 100 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems. The enemy is also actively using kamikaze drones, having launched about 1,500 drones to target Ukrainian positions and infrastructure.
The hottest spots on the frontline
In the Kharkiv sector, three attacks by Russian troops were registered near Vovchansk, as they continue to intensify their activity in the region. In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy made 12 attacks in the direction of Petropavlivka, Kruhlyakivka, Kindrashivka, Kolisnykivka and Lozova.
The fighting is particularly intense in the Liman sector, where Russians conducted 17 attacks under the cover of attack and bombing aircraft. The areas of Druzhelyubivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Katerynivka, Terny, Torske, Serebryanka, Bilohorivka and Hryhorivka came under fire.
In the Kramatorsk sector, seven attacks by Russian troops were recorded in the area of Stupochky and Bila Hora, as they conducted intense combat operations to advance.
The enemy suffered the biggest losses in the Kurakhove sector
The Kurakhove sector remains the hottest spot, where Ukrainian troops stopped 50 enemy attacks. The enemy has concentrated its main efforts in the areas of Illinka, Novoselidivka, Kreminna Balka, Novodmitrivka, Sontsovka, Maksymilianivka, Antonivka, Dalmiy and Katerynivka. Heavy fighting continues here, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding strong and preventing the enemy from advancing.
In addition, in the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 24 attacks by Russian troops in the areas of Myrolyubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Hryhorivka, Sukhyi Yar and Selydove.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out seven attacks near Toretsk, and in the Vremivsk sector, five attacks in the areas of Trudove, Rozlyv and Sukhi Yaliv. Three attacks were also repelled in the Prydniprovsky sector.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces Operation in Kursk Region and Russia’s “Mistakes”
In parallel with the intense fighting on the territory of Ukraine, Ukrainian forces are actively operating in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. It is known that over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 28 air strikes, dropping 41 guided bombs… on their own territory. This indicates internal problems in the command of the Russian forces and numerous cases of chaotic mistakes.
Thus, the situation on the frontline remains tense, but the Ukrainian Defence Forces are confidently holding their ground, inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
