On 9 November 2024, Vyacheslav Uzelkov, a legendary Ukrainian boxer whose strength and fortitude were impressive not only in the ring but also in the fight against complex diseases, passed away. In recent years, Uelkov has been courageously fighting serious illnesses, including cardiovascular problems, which affected his health but did not break his spirit, TimeUkraineIsrael reports, citing the press service of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation.
Despite his illness, he remained a dedicated coach and mentor to young athletes, passing on not only sports skills but also lessons in true resilience. His example inspired his students and all those who followed his life and career.
