Information on the events at the front as of 16:00 on 9 November shows that the occupiers are highly active and continue to attempt to attack the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 108 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day, including in the most tense areas of the frontline: Pokrovske and Kurakhove directions. Our soldiers are successfully repelling attacks, maintaining the line of defence and disrupting the enemy’s plans. Attacks in Sumy and Chernihiv regions
During the day, civilians in Sumy and Chernihiv regions suffered from artillery and air strikes. The occupiers shelled Pavlivka, Volfine, Velyka Pysarivka, Zhuravka, Bezsalivka, Ugrody and Leonivka, and carried out air strikes on Miropillia.
Tensions at the Kupiansk and Lyman directions
In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy made several attempts to advance in the areas of Kucherivka, Kruhliakivka and Lozove during the day. Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy attacks, two of which are ongoing at the time of publication. The occupants also carried out five air strikes on Kupyansk.
In the Liman sector, the invaders increased the intensity of their attacks, carrying out 14 assaults in the areas of Hrekivka, Nevske, Torske and Bilohorivka. The enemy is using bomber aircraft, in particular in Terny and Yampolivka, and continues to fight near the front line.
Attack on Siversk and Kramatorsk direction
In the Siverskyi sector, the occupants shelled Verkhnekamianske and carried out air strikes in the vicinity of Siversk using guided bombs.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped an attack near Bila Hora. The enemy is actively shelling Chasiv Yar, using both guided and unguided missiles. Nine airstrikes were recorded over the last day, indicating the intensity of the invaders’ actions in this area of the frontline.
Firefights in Pokrovske, Kurakhove and other areas
A particularly high level of combat activity is currently observed in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian troops repelled 28 attacks and continue to hold their positions. In the Kurakhove sector, the enemy carried out 16 attacks in the areas of Illinka, Novoselydivka, Novodmytrivka, Maksymilianivka, Dale, Katerynivka and Antonivka, and seventeen more battles are currently underway.
Tension was also recorded in the Toretsk sector, where the enemy made six attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Diliyivka, Shcherbynivka and Nelipivka, four of which were successfully repelled. In the Prydniprovskyi sector, our troops repelled another attempted assault.
A call for support for the defence forces
The Ukrainian military continue to deplete the enemy along the frontline, repelling attacks and inflicting significant losses. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine calls on you to join the ranks of the defenders, as we are bringing victory closer together.
