In October 2024, Ukrainians purchased 4,277 electric vehicles, down 0.2% compared to September. This was reported by the Association of Automobile Manufacturers of Ukraine (Ukravtoprom) on its Telegram channel, Time Ukraine Israel reports.
“October added 4,277 battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) to the Ukrainian fleet, down 5% year-on-year,” the report said. For comparison, in September, 4,289 electric vehicles were registered, showing a slight decline in market interest.
Last month, the share of new electric vehicles in the total number of BEV registrations was 23%, which is 4% more than in October 2023. Since the beginning of the year, more than 44.2 thousand electric vehicles have been registered, of which 20% are new.
Passenger cars made up the bulk of electric vehicles registered in October: 4,124 units, of which 969 were new and 3,155 were used. Of the 153 commercial electric vehicles registered, only 17 were new.
Among the models, the leader in the new car category was Honda M-NV (188 units), and among the used cars – Nissan Leaf (447 units).
The market for electric vehicles in Ukraine continues to grow despite slight fluctuations in demand, reflecting the overall dynamics of adaptation to eco-friendly transport.
